Made up some brake pipes in AN -3 stainless braided teflon hose with Goodridge ends. Cut to length and trial fitted, think I'm going to go for banjo fittings at the master cylinder end and possibly at the feed to the 4 way t piece for a cleaner finish and easier maintenance in the future.

Mystery Panel
For a few days now I have been trying to work out where the passenger footwell panel fits, I have a panel with angled bends and just didn't seem to fit. Not shown in he build manual either. Came back to it this morning and managed to work out where it fits. Easy when you know how.
Will wait until I fit the dry sump oil tank before I fix it in to place.

Pedal Box Fitted
Installed the pedal box, used a template to position hole centres then cut with 38mm hole cutter. Fitted master cylinders with a 0.75" for the clutch, 0.70" rear brakes and 0.625" for the front brakes. Set the bias bar to the mid point. Bolted the pedal box to the chassis floor with M6 bolts and Nylocs.

Drivers Bulkhead
Fitted the drivers bulkhead today, modified the panel a little to accommodate the steering column bracket and the gear selector fixing. Secured in place with Tiger Seal and riveted with black rivets.
Fitting Engine Casings
Re fitted the engine casings this afternoon complete with new gaskets, stainless steel bolts and a few other shiny bits. Just waiting for the dry sump kit to arrive before I can fit the engine.

Unloading At Home
Unloaded the kit and positioned the chassis on the axle stands with a little help from friends.
Trial fitted the pedal box and all looks great.

Collection From MNR
Leon kindly offered the use of his van and to come with me to collect my car from MNR, met Leon and a fellow MNR builder Justin at Mansfield and made our way up to Harrogate. When we arrived Chris and Marc were waiting for us with the kit ready to load. Great service to come in on a Sunday to allow collection around our availability.
Chassis safely wrapped and then loaded into the van....

Pro Race Pedals
Returned the pedal box to OBP and paid the difference to upgrade to their Pro Race Pedal box. Design and build quality is really great, accelerator construction is sturdy and operation is smooth. I like the adjustable end stops for the clutch and accelerator, so no need to mount end stops on the bulkhead.

Visit to MNR
Visited MNR to meet with Marc and to take a look at the progress on my car and to discuss the pedal box. Saw first hand that there is absolutely no chance of the kit car pedal box fitting the Vortx chassis, the disappointing thing was before I ordered the pedal box I spoke to OBP and they guaranteed that it would fit and clearly this is not the case.
While with Marc I took the opportunity to try a chassis for pedal room with standard pedals along with some other options. In the end we agreed that we would move the engine 6 inches or so back towards the centre of the car to make more room in the pedal box area. This now has allowed a wider choice of pedals and I will be able to use a wider bulk head version.
Will talk to OBP about getting a refund on the kit car version or upgrading to the Pro Race style.

Pedal box upgrades
Decided to upgrade from the standard pedal setup, after a lot of searching I came up with the OBP Kit Car Pedal Box for MK MNR Haynes Locost.
I ordered the full kit including the hydraulic clutch, remote reservoirs and hoses directly from OBP. On the phone they were very helpful and confirmed that it would fit he MNR. As my chassis is about to manufactured, Marc suggested to get the pedal shipped to him to check fitment.
The pedals arrived the next day, unfortunately the pedal box did not fit the MNR chassis as the footprint was too wide and the accelerator fouled against the side frame. Seems that the pedal setup was designed for a box section frame and wouldn't fit the current MNR design.
