Based on the oil cooling performance I have been achieving I decided to complete a few upgrades. I have decided to fit a larger Laminova oil cooler, a 80 litres per minute water pump, to move the Laminova to after the engine and to re pipe the system in 32mm hose.
I have moved the pump to the front of the car, re routed the hoses and moved tha Laminova position from being after the radiator outlet and before the engine to after the engine in the return to the radiator. I have removed the restrictor as I will be running the coolant system at a higher flow rate.
I managed to get a replacement connector made to the cylinder head with a straight outlet and 32mm bore. As it was made of aluminium I tiger sealed a piece of paper gasket to the back before fitting in place.
The setup is as recommended by SBD with the Laminova after the thermostat connector. I also took the opportunity to shorten some of the oil hoses to the cooler and re route them away from the exhaust area.
