Had a full day on the car yesterday with Leon. I had really run out of one man jobs, so an offer of an helping hand was most welcome ( plus he is an MNR expert having built his own previously).
First job was to fit the prop shaft in to position along with fuel pipes as these would not go in after the engine is in place.
The engine was ready to go in with the dry sump fitted and engine covers nicely painted. We placed a board underneath the chassis and jacked it up into place to provide a strong platform for the engine to sit on. We then protected the chassis rails and lifted the engine in to position to sit on the board.
Once in the engine was in place we fitted the engine fixing bolts, first drilled out mounts to remove excess powder coating, then fitted the long threaded bars at the rear of the engine.
