Finished off the fuel system. Mounted the standard MNR pump on the lower chassis rail, made a P clamp from a length of aluminium strip and mounted on the chassis rail. Fitted a 10mm fuel hose from he tank to the pump inlet then an 8mm fuel hose from the outlet to the inlet of the 044 pump, the -6 connections for the rest of the fuel system. Need to order some 16mm p clips to replace the temporary tie wraps holding the fuel pipe in place.
Mounted the fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay and fixed it to a chassis rail near the return from the fuel rail. Made a short hose between the rail and regulator. Still need to fit the fuel pressure sensor to allow monitoring of fuel pressure on the Dash 2, will set to alarm if the pressure drops too low during use and to avoid possible engine damage.
Hi Eddie, really enjoying reading through your build thread and good to see you are regularly updating your blog. Can I ask where you got your fuel hose from and have you ran braided hose the full length of the car? I'm just about to start rebuilding my MNR after a little "incident" and would rather use fully braided hose that copper in the tunnel etc.

Hi Gary,
DeleteGood to hear from you. I'm glad that you are finding the blog of interest. I did run the petrol lines all in AN6 braided teflon hose. I bought all of my hose and alloy ends from Torques_uk on eBay. The hose that I used is:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AN-6-6AN-JIC-6-MSA-Rally-Teflon-PTFE-Stainless-Braided-Fuel-Hose-6m-/360771469184?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53ffa7bf80
If you go for teflon hose, you need the correct ends etc. Torques_uk have all of the parts in stock and provide a quick turnaround on orders.
Hope that this helps and good luck with the rebuild.
Cheers
Eddie
