Karl also honed the bores and supplied a new set of rings. I can clearly see the cast / black finish on the 2nd ring on the new set. The polishing of the bores has also been removed and the new rings will bed in well with the honed bores.
The only downside was that I asked Karl to check my cams as I was concerned that the inlet cam did not move freely in the bearing. After measurement we found out that the end near the cam sprocket was slightly bent. The quickest and cheapest option was to go for an exchange set of high lift cams from Extreme Engines which are a very similar spec to the suz24. He did offer to get me a replacement inlet cam ground, but it would not arrive until well in to the new year.
I must say that Karl is a really nice guy and has a genuine passion for his work. I can't recommend him more highly. A job well done!!
